TJ and I started 30 Day Shred yesterday. It’s been 2 or 3 weeks since I’ve been to the gym and, wow, did I feel it. I’ve been a bit under the weather but am feeling fine now. Fine except for my screaming thighs, arms, and abs. I got a text message from TJ mid-day letting me know “My thighs are SCREAMING!” and that made me feel much better.
So we’re going to be letting Jillian kick our asses Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and the stability ball woman work us Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. I subscribed to Fitness Magazine because they have pictures of hot women working out in ways that I can actually see myself working out and, it seems, fewer make-up tips and ads than Wieder publications. In the issue I picked up at the store, there were some doable looking exercises with a stability ball, and I’ve never tried one before, so I ordered a couple on Amazon for us. It’s still a nice work out but not nearly as intense as the 30 Day Shred.
The motivating thing about these videos, for TJ and me anyway, is how awesome these women’s bodies look. Not that we’re just ogling them – there has been no real ogling – it’s that we want our bodies to look like that and are visualizing our results. That’s what’s going to, hopefully, keep us motivated until we start seeing some substantial results. You know, results beyond aching muscles.
