Nothin’ Much

I’ve been wiped out lately. My job’s been a bit stressful but I leave it there and don’t bring any of the issues home with me. I think it’s been making me tired, though. And I don’t think I’m getting enough sleep. I just don’t have any energy and my mind is tired. Just to make the point, I’ll tell you that I’ve not played any World of Warcraft all week. Not even for a few minutes. None. See? I told you, something is just not right with me.

Micah was feverish when we came home from work last night. He took his coat off, went down the hall and stood in the doorway to my room. He looked at me and said “I want to lay down.” He said it a few times while I acknowledged his want and hung up my coat. I started down the hallway and he got in my bed and waited for me to take his shoes off. We spent the rest of the night cuddling in bed watching cartoons. He’s cuddletastic when he doesn’t feel good, well usually. Sometimes he’s a holy terror when he doesn’t feel good. I just got lucky last night.

He does seem to be feeling much better today. He’s got a bit of excitement coming this afternoon. The big boy bed we ordered for him is ready and TJ will be going to pick it up soon. We didn’t lay out the extra $110 for delivery and set up since we’re lesbians and good at building stuff. You know it’s true. TJ’s got to go to the Lesbian Super Store (Home Depot) before she picks up the bed to get some materials to finish repairing the wall in Micah’s closet. After that job is done, I’ve got a list of other repairs that we need to take care of. Just wait until springtime hits – we go insane with home repairs and painting. And I can tell you, we need a lot!
