Back to School!

Yep, summer vacation is about over. Today’s the last day and Micah is ready to get back to class. Well, he is now. I figure it’ll take a few days, maybe even a couple of weeks, and he’ll be wishing for vacation again.

The nice thing about this time of year is that there are loads of holidays coming up and we’ll have some days to relax and reconnect.

The past several weeks have been hellish at our house. TJ has been working for the past four weeks with just one weekend off and it doesn’t look much better for the rest of the year. Of course, this is completely unacceptible and neither of us is happy with what’s happening. She’ll do what she can to work fewer hours but I knew a long time ago that she’ll never have a job that will be only 40 hours a week. But we can’t keep going like this so there’ll have to be some adjustment somewhere…

I had a birthday last weekend. TJ had to work all day and most of the night so it wasn’t the best. She felt terrible and there was no way I could be mad at her. But she’s not on call this weekend so, hopefully, we can get some quality family time in then. I’m hoping for a nice hike in the woods. That would be great. If we do that, I’ll post some pics!

Oh, I set up a new YouTube account and loaded a few videos if anyone’s interested. The account is RevCheriF. A bit of combining my Cocktail Hour and personal life. Besides, it’s hard to find a user name that’s not taken!
